Antwerp - Roberto Bolaño

I don't read that often, but this book really blew my imagination out into the stratosphere. It reads like a minimalist crime novel, in the way its constructed its very film-like in nature. The cut up verses of scenarios and scenes have an effect that's akin to fast paced editing in film, each line comes to you like rapid fire scenes that takes the readers imagination into its exotic locales of hotels, where whores, voyeurism, murder, and bizarre sex take place.

If you like minimalism, crime novels, night trains and film noir, this is heaven.

I AM LOVE - 2010

Saw this film tonight, and I have to say its one of the best films I've seen in a really long time. Extremely well executed, flawlessly paced, shot, featuring an amazing Tilda Swinton performing all her lines in Italian. Film also features a score by American minimalist composer John Adams.

Highly recommend it. GO SEE IT while its still in theaters.

This tape however, is a must have for the fans of the series.

Alphaville - 1965

First saw this in 1999 when I was 19, its crazy how somethings just end up getting stuck in your brain forever.

Some ideas take 10 years to manifest.

Highly recommend it.

Railfan - PS3

Omg, my dream video game has been made. You play the role of a train conductor, all the scenery have been filmed previously from real life and transfered onto the PS3 main frame as polygons or whatever. But it looks so realistic that I was shitting myself. Its the first time I felt like I need to own a game system since 1985.

I would just come home and turn this thing on and eat my food watching this or fall asleep with this thing on. So awesome.

Theres even the Brown Line in Chicago.
